Many of our volunteers participate in Kathleen June’s Connecting Women and Horses Meetup group that provides monthly opportunities for “Horse Hungry” women and/or prospective volunteers to visit the ranch, see what we do, socialize, and meet our amazing horses. We also host monthly meetings of Rider-Aware Club, which brings speakers knowledgeable in everything Equine. R-A meets the 2nd Thursday of each month, from 6-8:30pm.
All HDR volunteers must complete and submit a volunteer application and a liability waiver. Bring these to orientation when scheduled. Volunteers must be 15 yrs old or older. Because of our small staff, we allow 2-3 teen volunteers during summer months only.
