This combination of commitment and passion has led them into their specific areas of expertise and innovation. Tracy Vroom is a beautiful prime example! As you read her bio, I'm sure you will agree that the breadth of her knowledge is impressive and truly holistic. She represents a perfect example of the Rider-Aware mission - to expand and broaden our awareness. As I mentioned in my previous email, Tracy Vroom is someone you will surely want on your resource list. She also works on our other four-legged family members. Take advantage of this opportunity to meet Tracy and observe a demonstration of her work on lucky Happy Dog horse Indy. Please bring a donation in any amount. 100% of the donations collected go to the Happy Dog Ranch Foundation and are tax deductible. All Rider-Aware speakers donate their valuable time to us not only to educate but because they are supporters themselves of the Happy Dog Ranch Foundation mission. We will be meeting in the Detached Garage and in the barn so you might want to bring a jacket. As always, bring a snack or drink to share and bring a friend if you'd like. Looking forward to seeing you there. Cindy Jones and Sandy Corrigan Co-Founders, Rider-Aware Club * * * * * * * * * * * * Bio The CranioConnection, founded by Tracy Vroom, has been providing complementary health, healing, and performance solutions for horses, dogs and cats for 19 years. She grew up on a farm in Iowa surrounded by animals of all kinds and today loves sharing her passion and making a difference in the lives of animals and their humans. She offers individual sessions for animals as well as workshops. In individual sessions, Tracy uses a blended approach of non-invasive, therapies; craniosacral therapy, shamanic healing work, massage, trigger point therapy, the Tellington TTouch Method, herbs and essential oils. The sessions help the animal activate their natural ability to heal. This way they come into balance, emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually in a way that is right for them. After each session we’re looking for improvements in health, performance, movement, flexibility, and emotional balance. She also strongly believes in sharing information and tools with the animal's caretaker. Empowering people is a huge part of why she loves this work. Talk description... Have you ever struggled with lameness with your horse? You, the rider, are the most influential component for your horse’s body and mind. Your balance or lack of it in the saddle can cause patterns in the body that set them up for injury, chronic pain and lameness. Our awareness is the key to a sound, happy, healthy horse. What we often call conformation is actually compensation that is created by how the horse is exercised and ridden. They change the way they move because of the way we ride and work with them. Wisdom is power and we can learn how to ride and care for our horse to alleviate many issues and prevent injury and long-term damage. The body tells us their story….from a badly fitting saddle to an unbalanced rider…the body shows us what each horse is experiencing which results in muscle tension, overdeveloped muscles, muscle loss, knots, asymmetry, lameness, etc. Horses are not lazy or stubborn, they are responding in the moment to how their body feels. We will be training our eye to see what’s there so the horses don’t have to suffer.
